Meetings:
Frontier Archery Club holds monthly meetings on the Second Monday of every Month. The meetings are held at the clubhouse and begin at 7:30 PM. Your attendance at the meetings is not required, but we strongly encourage everyone to show up and participate.
We are having a good
turn out
for the meetings..Please keep coming out and
participate. Would like to see more members come out for meetings and
to help out at shoots thru out the upcoming year. Come out to the
clubhouse and see the new renovations that
were done over the summer of 2010. You will like what you see!
Work Days:
Works days are held the Fri before all shoots at 5:30pm. If you cannot make it to a workday, you can take on a target assignment. This is where you would be responsible for the upkeep of one of the targets on the archery course. You would keep the shooting lanes clear, weeds and under-brush trimmed, and replace target and or backstop if needed. It may sound like a lot of work, but it amounts to just a few minutes a month.
After the snow storm there were alot of trees down all over the property. Trees and limbs laying all over the drive way, gun range, and on the clubhouse. We would like to thank those of you who came out to help cut down trees and repair the roof. Ryan Readinger, Chuck Thomas, Mark Hegedus, Bob Keim, Jim Hoffman, Ron Deblase, Dave Endy and helper Jacob Endy. Thank you to all of you for helping clear the mess.Still more tree tops and limbs to cut down will be getting a work detail together in the spring to clear the rest of the course. Most of the tree tops and trees laying around have been cleaned up by a few of the members. and is looking pretty good.
Special Workday: March 25 9am, Course needs blown off, check bales and targets, will be getting a lift & chipper to cut down some trees, Please come out & help lots of work to be done before our shoots begin in April.
WOOD PERMITS ARE NOW AVAILABLE. SEE RYAN AT MEETING IF INTERESTED.
